Some of my best memories are of time spent shopping with my mother. Afternoons growing up in Camp Hill were extra special when my mother took me out for lunch followed by shopping at Mary-Sachs in downtown Harrisburg, Wanamaker’s at the East Mall or Schleisner’s at the Camp Hill Plaza. My mother taught me a love of high quality clothing and the enthusiasm to seek it out at affordable prices. It must be genetic because this is also a favorite activity shared by me and my daughter, Mary-Elaine!

Baking has been a very important part of the Schenk Family since the early 20th century, when John Schenk first began the trade in Germany. Eager to take advantage of the land of opportunity, John Schenk and his wife, Pauline, packed their belongings, along with the Schenk's Family recipes and immigrated to the USA in pursuit of the American dream. They later settled in Germantown, PA, where Schenk's Bakery was opened in 1938. John and Pauline had 3 children, Ken, Carl, and Erna.

I am a central Pennsylvania native, having grown up in Hummelstown. I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Shippensburg University, a Master’s degree in psychology from Penn State and my law degree from the Widener University School of Law. I attended law school a little later in life, which means I have years of experience working with people in different areas. I think my extensive non-legal experience working with people has made me a better lawyer. I opened my own law practice in July 2013 after working at a larger firm in Harrisburg for eleven years.

We have been a locally owned and operated retail shop in Central PA for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in serving the community with outstanding customer service, treating each patron like family.
